Jobs, Roles and Skills (JRS) Types
Job | A job describes a set of work to be performed by an individual. These generally relate to a contractual commitment for work. A number of roles may be used to define a job. |
Role | A specific set of work to be performed within a process area. A role is typically associated with a process that is being carried out. A job may be defined in terms of responsibilities, skills, knowledge or skill areas required to successfully carry out the role. |
Skill | A skill defines a specific set of work that people 'can do' to a certain level of competence. |
